Selecting the Right Tickets (and Saving Money in the Process)

When it comes to selecting Disney park passes, there are quite a few options out there. Fortunately, there are also a lot of really good resources to help guide you. Here are a few of our favorites:

Touring Plans' Ticket Calculator allows you to enter information in order to provide you with tailored advice as to which ticket is best for you and your family based on the number of people in your party, their ages and your park touring plans. It was recently featured in a SmartMoney article on how to save money at theme parks.

Mousesavers has up-to-date information on park pass discounts and suggestions for purchasing passes through various third parties.

AllEars features a great FAQ page on Disney Park Passes, and a very informative page on how to decide whether an Annual Pass is right for you.

And of course, you should always review the official Walt Disney World Ticketing Website.

So, although park pass prices have recently increased, you can still save some money if you do your research and choose your passes wisely.

Personally, we stick with the one-park-a-day passes (Magic Your Way without the Park Hopper option) and have recently added on the Water Park Fun and More Option. Note that the more days you buy, the cheaper it gets per day (e.g., a 4-day ticket is only $11 more than a 3-day ticket and a 5-day ticket is only $8 more than a 4-day ticket, etc.).
